Den arabiska våren startade i
Tunisien och Lina Ben Mhenni följer den tätt i spåren med blogg (Blogger),
facebook och Twitter. I tolv olika välskrivna bloggar, man kan lika gärna säga
tolv krönikor eller rapporter, visar hon på kampen mot den tunisiska diktatorn
Ben Alis förtyck och censur. Hennes texter visar vilken sprängkraft, digital lika väl som politisk revolution, det kan finnas hos sociala medier.

Vi får följa den tunisiska utvecklingen fram till diktatorn Ben Ali flykt och hans regims fall, så långt en lyckad händelseutveckling och stor glädje över den vunna friheten. Tyvärr måste Lina och hennes kämpande vänner fortsätta sin kamp för tryckfrihet, kvinnokamp och social rättvisa. Vilket inte står högst på dagordningen för Tunisiens islamister.
Till boken som till sitt format påminner en hel del om Kistalights alster (Tunisian girl är något tunnare) finns även utmärkt ordlista om sociala medier och nätet. Från Avatar till Twitter och Webbplats. Boken är också en utmärkt sammanfattning av Den Arabiska våren i Tunisien - det som startade händelseutvecklingen både i Egypten och Libyen men det är viktigt att betona att Tunisien har sin specifika utveckling.
Tunisian girl passar säkert också som en fördjupning för de gymnasielever som är intresserade av Den Arabiska våren möjligen också för årskurs nio i grundskolan.

PS Titeln på bloggen Tunisian Girl har haft sin egen resa, låter lite som en kontaktannons, men från början hette den Nightclubbeuse (Nattklubberskan) för att sedan döpas om till Crazy thoughts innan den fick sitt nuvarande namn och politiska form.
Lina Ben Mhenni har fått priser för sin blogg i både Tyskland (Bob Award) och i England.

Some Thoughts about the US Embassy Incidents
Tonight, I feel bad for my country. But also for the entire region, for the Arab world, the Muslim world ... For humanity. I do not understand this resentment and hatred coming from all sides. I do not understand these wars, and all these interventions here and there.
I do not understand this killing silence as to the denial of the right to free movement. A denial that forces young Africans to risk their lives in those death rafts. I do not understand that torture is still practiced in my country. I can not admit or accept the attacks on the first of the freedoms we have secured thanks to the sacrifices of our martyrs and wounded: the freedom of opinion and expression.
Today we experienced a tragic day, two / three -two different numbers given by the Minister of the Interior and his spokesman- Tunisians have lost their lives while they were trying to break into the American Embassy in Tunis in what they thought to be an action to defend Islam and our Prophet. This happened as a reaction to the dissemination of an "anti-Islam" movie.
Personally, I can't talk about the movie itself. I did not watch it. I cannot make comments neither on its content nor on its artistic and technical quality.
I understand that young people feel annoyed, attacked and harmed in their sacred, but I do not understand at all those who push them to react violently in a country where peaceful youth overthrew a dictator. I am doing my best to understand those who get excited because of a movie or a book. Moreover I think that the response to a movie should be a movie, a deep criticism or a peaceful, well-organized demonstration.
The USA Embassy's incidents are beyond my imagination and apprehension. What happened worries me. Many questions hit my mind after what happened:
-Who is the manipulator standing behind these events occurring on an international scale?-Who are his allies / collaborators across the region in general and in our country in particular?I do not understand at all why are some parties and occult forces initiating, from time to time, provocative actions despite knowing in advance that they are going to put some countries on fire. I do not understand who is behind the manipulation of the masses. Who pushes them to react violently? Nevertheless, I have a feeling that those behind the alibi and those behind the reaction are the same.
Furthermore I am astonished at the passivity and incapacity of the security forces to control the situation despite their awareness of the possibility of such events in advance. Why didn't they cut off the access to the area ? How did they let excited and angrypeople reach the walls of the embassy and climb them so easily?We have already seen these same forces act with promptness and rigidity against people who wanted to celebrate the memory of the martyrs on April 9th, 2012. They have been very efficient against strikers and protesters in Sidi Bouzid, the Hencha, Kebili, and many other areas of the country. why did they fail in stopping the angry masses?
There are probably thousands of questions to be raised. Personally, I am convinced that these incidents are neither spontaneous nor an action that is the natural reaction of disappointed people hurt in their self-esteem.However, I still have confidence in our youth. I strongly believe that we will succeed in defending and expressing ourselves peacefully. I hope that the forces of peace and progress around the world will succeed in stopping the evil campaigns causing hatred and wars.

Réflexions sur les Incidents de l'Amabassade Américaine à tunis 15 septembre
Ce soir, j'ai mal pour mon pays. Je souffre pour mon pays. Mais aussi pour toute la région , pour le monde Arabe , pour le monde musulman... Pour l'humanité. Je ne comprends pas toute cette hargne de tous les cotés. Je ne comprends pas ces guerres, et toutes ces interventions ici et là.
Je ne comprends pas tout ce silence par rapport au déni du droit au libre déplacement qui oblige les jeunes Africains à investir dans ces radeaux de la mort. Je ne comprends pas que la torture persiste et perdure dans mon pays. Je en comprends pas qu'on s'attaque à la première des libertés que nous avons acquise grâce à nos martyrs et nos blessés: la liberté d'opinion et d'expression.
Aujourd'hui nous avons vécu une journée tragique, deux/ trois -deux nombres différents donnés par le Ministre de l 'Intérieur et de la part de son porte parole- Tunisiens ont perdu la vie alors qu'il croyaient qu'ils étaient entrain de défendre notre religion et notre prophète. Ces jeunes ont perdu la vie en essayant d'investir l’Ambassade Américaine à Tunis pour montrer leur mécontentement par rapport à un film américain dit anti-Islam.
Personnellement, je ne peux pas m 'exprimer sur la question du film lui-même. Je ne l'ai pas vu, je ne peux pas en parler ou émettre des observations ni par rapport à son contenu ni par rapport à sa qualité artistique et technique.
Je peux comprendre que des jeunes se sentent lésés, attaqués dans leur sacré, mais je ne comprends point celles et ceux qui les poussent à réagir de cette façon violente dans un pays dont la jeunesse a abattu une dictature par la seule force de son courage physique ( en affrontant les balles à poitrines découvertes) et de son verbe qu’elle a crié haut et fort malgré la répression. Je fais des efforts énormes sur moi même pour admettre que ceux et celles qui s'excitent à cause d'un film ou d'un ouvrage ont des raisons valables pour le faire. je pense qu'on répond à un film par un film ou par une critique calme et profonde ou même par des manifestations mais des manifestations pacifiques et organisées.
Ce qui s'est passé aujourd'hui me dépasse, m'inquiète , me donne à me poser des inetrrogations telles que -Qui est le garnd manipulateur derrière ces évènements à l'échelle internatioanle?
-Qui sont ses commis à l'échelle de la région en général et de notre pays en particulier?

Je ne peux que m'étonner devant la passivité ou l'incapacité des forces de l'ordre qui étaient pourtant au courant de façon préalable et sure de l 'éventualité de ces événements. Pourquoi n'a-t-on pas coupé les accès aux berges du lac? Comment on a laissé des gens excités arriver jusqu'aux murs d'enceinte de l'Ambassade et les escalader?
Pourtant on a bien vu ces forces intervenir avec une célérité, un sérieux te une rigidité curieuses contre les gens qui ont voulu célébrer la fête des martyrs. On les a vus aussi en action contre les grévistes, contre les manifestants à Sidi Bouzid, , la Hencha , Kébili, et bien d'autres régions.
Pourquoi n 'a -t-on pas arrêté les dégâts avec la célérité nécessaire?
Il y' a sûrement des milliers de questions qui se posent. et il ets sur que ce sévènements ne sont ni spontanés, ni irréfléchis, ni une action qui représente une réaction naturelle d'une population furieuse ou blessée dans son amour propre.
Cependant , j'ai encore confiance en notre jeunesse qui réussira à se défendre autrement, à s'exprimer de façon pacifique. J'ai espoir dans la sagesse de notre société civile qui a à recentrer ses combats, à réorganiser ses priorités et à se prendre en charge de façon pacifique et civilisée.
J'ai espoir que les forces de la paix et du progrès dans le monde sauront mettre fin à ces campagnes qui misent à mettre le feu partout en suscitant la haine et en attisant les antagonismes.
